I just read chapter 3 of the Great Gatsby

In chapter 3 , the rumors that are were said about Gatsby was him , killing someone & another one was he was a German spy & I think he’s mysterious is because of how rich he is and how everyone knows him. He’s known a lot & important in the story.

Nick calls the man in the library , “owl eyes “ 

Nick has weird feelings about Gatsby , but he isn’t to sure since he’s friendly with him and everyone else.

Nick finds out that Jordan hasn’t been honest.

Nick & Gatsby , plan to go the next day to Hydroplane.

& at the end of we learn that Nick's cardinal virtue is " I am one of the few HONEST , people I've ever known", I think the author states it in the end of chapter so that we know what to expect in the next couple chapters of how Nick thinks or feel or how is character is.
