Chapter 1 F451 Summary

• Chapter 1 started of with a character named Guy Montag , he is a firefighter who literally cause or start fires just to burn books. Just by how the author , Ray Bradbury is starting off the story , it seems to me that they do not like books and probably addicted or in love with technology.
• In chapter 1 Montag meets a girl named Clarisse McClellan , they’re neighbors & found her walking around. Clarisse had questioned Montag whether he was happy with himself & he hesitated and reacted to the question. Clarisse , was already different from the others , she actually liked to talk such as her family. Her family actually cared to communicate with others & other families , but of course they didn’t get the same connection back because they were just quiet & barely spoke. 
• Montag has a wife named Mildred , she’s a wife or women who is very conceded , she doesn’t care about anyone but herself. Montag’s & Mildred’s lifestyle is so different that they both sleep in different beds but in the same household. Not only that , but their house is full of technology & therefore , I think that Mildred isn’t really okay as she seems she thinks because she overdose on her medication when the doctors said it was normal! Since when in any society or a medical professional say that is normal?? Just by reading Chapter 1 , i think there is gonna be a lot of health issues involved , education wise & a lot of it is gonna be due to Technology. They all seem pretty unhappy with their lives , what kind of world do you live in where , you don’t have books at all ? Or even , communicate?
